| • | Put the DN-Boy in your desktop. Copy a complete CD to the DN-Boy. Remove DN-Boy from Desktop, connect to laptop, and install "from CD". |
| • | Have you got some really important files. Connect DB-Boy to laptop and copy your files into latest backup. |
| • | Full disk backup. Connect DN-Boy to laptop. Copy ALL files except the swap file(about 30 mins- time to have lunch) every day. Next day drop laptop and destroy hard drive. Remove broken drive from laptop. Take the drive out of the DN-Boy and install in your laptop. Restart laptop and be up and running. Time to recover -about 10 minutes. |
| • | Connect DN-Boy to laptop. Copy ALL files except swap file(about 30 mins- have lunch). Take DN-Boy to desktop, insert and copy data to backup tape. Give the DN-Boy to next guy on the list to do same. |
| • | Connect to laptop. Produce huge Powerpoint presentation. Give it to Fred to present to the board tomorrow. Guy can take it to America in his pocket the next day. |
| • | Buy new laptop. Install Windows98, Office97 et al on new machine. Connect DN-Boy. Take copy of all files bar swap. Put DN-Boy in desktop. Copy all files to backup. Buy another identical laptop. Take the hard drive out and put it in DN-Boy. Copy backup from desktop. Take disk out of DN-Boy and put back into laptop. Start laptop with everything installed. |
